From Limerick to Kiev : waterways for Europe
Grenoble (France) from 15th April to 31st May 2003

For its 10th anniversary, Euromapping is organising an exhibition within its premises entitled : From Limerick to Kiev : waterways for Europe. The exhibition could subsequently be presented in the European Parliament building in Brussels, as part of a lobbying exercice coordinated by various international organisations (IWI, AIT, EBA, VNE).

Follow our boat on a voyage from Limerick to Kiev, and discover the extraordinary potential of one of Europe’s least-known resources: nearly 100 000 km of navigable canals, rivers and lakes.

For the occasion, about 10 authors and photographers from different countries have contributed to an artistic photographic exhibition. Visitors are invited to select the photograph and caption which illustrates the most effectively the value of inland waterways for Europe today. Visit the exhibition to discover the favourite pictures of the following:
– Christian Carez (Belgium) : photographer
